The Turkish eye, is also known as "blue eye" or "evil eye" or "eye of Horus", is an amulet of Turkish origin that has been used for centuries as a symbol of protection and good luck. In the ancient Egyptian mythology, it was associated with Horus, the god of heaven and war.

Also one of the earliest mentions of the evil eye is seen on a cuneiform of Sumerians advising water remedies against the evil eye.
